Hello and welcome to this blog. My name is Rena, and I have been a victim of multistaling, aka causestalking or organized stalking, since October 2007. The nightmare without waking began in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this time period, my otherwise quiet and civilized life as a visually impaired student at the University of Minnesota was traumatically altered. Perhaps I was too outspoken about the rights and challenges regarding the disability community. When speaking up in my social work classes about such issues so dear to my heart, I noticed several students becoming annoyed with the topic. At first, a group of students targeted disrespectul comments during class participation. Soon after this period, I noticed changes within my apartment. Several alterations took place within my living space close to campus soon after the master key to the apartments had vanished from the owner's possession. I also noticed the same group of people lingering in front of my apartment on a daily basis. The same people watched me taking out my guide dog in the morning. In the evening, the same group of people gathered in the back of the building right beneath my apartment windows. I had the eary feeling of being watched all of the time.
By mid October 2007, each time my guide dog and I left and returned a strong smell of perfume was very noticeable in front of my door. Several of my friends complained about this constant odor. Additionally, I noticed strange changes in my apartment. For example, pictures would be taken off the wall, male underwear was mixed in with my underwear, a brand new bed sheet was stuffed into my storage closet, empty bottles of shampoo had been filled up with water and stuffed into drawers, my cat was locked up into a closet. After returning home, I found him there all scared, etc. There were so many events I can hardly account for all of them here.
As the reader may imagine, I became extremely scared to leave my home - even after putting in another lock and some security measures. As a result, I canceled some classes and began to isolate myself - especially since it was very difficult to explain these events to friends.
